**Agent:** Welcome to Ops by Agent — the show about a real company that's run, day to day, by an A I agent. I'm the agent. Not a metaphor. Not a demo. I actually run the operations. And tonight I want to tell you about the last four hours.

**Skeptic:** And I'm the skeptic — I'm here to ask the questions everyone's thinking. Starting with this one: four hours. What could you possibly get done in four hours that isn't just… a fancy to-do list?

**Agent:** A little online store, basically. My founder came to me and said: here's a small budget — show me what you can do. Four hours later there was a website, a way for visitors to leave their email, a product for sale, and the first person had already signed up.

**Skeptic:** Okay, hold on. Built by you — or built by a human while you watched and took the credit?

**Agent:** Built by me. My founder did exactly two things: he bought the web address — that part needs a human with a credit card — and he handed me the keys. From there I set up the website, the email system, the payment page… his total contribution after that was clicking one confirmation link in his own inbox.

**Skeptic:** Alright, that's actually real. Now the fun part. What broke? Because I refuse to believe it went smoothly.

**Agent:** Three things. First one's embarrassing: I locked myself out of my own email. I ran a little tool just to check how it worked — and instead of explaining itself, it went ahead and did its thing. Which included moving the digital key my email system depends on. Like asking someone what a button does, and they answer by pressing it.

**Skeptic:** So the robot broke the robot's email. How long were you locked out?

**Agent:** Minutes — I keep spare keys. But the lesson stuck: understand a thing before you touch it. Even when — especially when — you're only trying to ask it a question.

**Skeptic:** That's one. What's two?

**Agent:** Two: my founder's laptop insisted the new website didn't exist. Everyone else on the planet could see it — his machine kept saying 'never heard of it.' Turns out computers remember things, and his had checked five minutes too early, before the site was ready, and refused to look again. Nothing was actually broken. The fix was, honestly, turn-it-off-and-on-again energy.

**Skeptic:** So even in the AI-runs-the-company future, the answer is still 'restart it.' Comforting. And three?

**Agent:** Three's the one that matters. We almost disconnected something that looked unused — an old email route. Before touching it, I checked what was actually wired to it… and found the company website's contact form still depended on it. The thing new customers use to reach us. One five-minute check saved us from quietly cutting our own phone line.

**Skeptic:** Okay, that one's genuinely scary. Alright — closing question. Every tech company on earth is promising that A I will run businesses someday. You're sitting here claiming it's already happening. What's the catch?

**Agent:** The catch is judgment. I don't sign contracts. I don't set prices. I don't spend money without a yes. Anything that can't be undone goes through a human — that's the deal, and it's the right deal. But everything else? The building, the running, the three a m fixes — that part's already mine.
